| Lisa Ramirez, 38 of Brownsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2012, after battling cancer for over a year. She spent her last few hours surrounded by family and friends at her Home. |
| Lisa was born in Oshawa,Ontario,Canada to Marilyn and Cornelius Vanderzwet. She loved soccer, hockey, and cold weather. Lisa moved to the valley from Canada with her mom and stepdad in 1993. |
| Lisa was preceded in death by her mom, (Marilyn Vanborrendam ) and her brother, (Malcolm Arney), and her aunt Judy Goreski. |
| Lisa Ramirez is survived by her husband, Isaac Ramirez and their children Jacob, Joshua, Logan, and Emma, her step parents Hans and Juanita Vanborrendam, her brother David Amey and numerous nieces and nephews. |
| Visitation begins at 1pm-9pm at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11, 2012, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St.Cecilia, Los Fresnos on Monday February 13, 2012at 11 AM with interment to follow immediately at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
