Brownsville, TX-Springfield, VT- Philip Franklin Gerety, 73, of Brownsville and
Springfield, VT, passed away on July 22, 2011 at his residence with his loving
wife Beverly by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife Beverly M. Gerety, of Brownsville, children;
Michael J. Gerety of Brockton, MA, Thomas F.(Diana) Gerety, of W. Springfield,
PA, and Susan M. Cullen of Pine Plains, NY. and six grandchildren. Also
surviving is a special daughter; Terri L. Goulet of Taylor, MI, a special son,
Todd J. Schamaska of Brownsville, TX and a special granddaughter Nicole M.
Wilcox of Manchester, NH. Mr. Gerety graduated from Springfield High School in
1956. While in high school he was in the ROTC in 1955-1956. After high school he
joined the United States Air Force for 4 years. Mr. Gerety worked in the machine
tool industry for many years as a Quality Control Inspector. He also worked for
15 years in Springfield ,VT  with the Springfield Fire Dept., Police Dept, and
the ambulance service. Before retirement Mr. Gerety managed Loon Lake
Camprground with his wife Beverly. His life will be celebrated on Wednesday
August 10, 2011 at Portway Baptist Church, where he was a trustee,  2000 N.
Minnesota Ave. Brownsville, TX 78521-6906. Military Honors will be conducted by
American Legion Post 43 of Brownsville,Funeral arrangements have been entrusted
