In Loving Memory of Elena Richardson

Elena Richardson, 91, of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2017, at Sunshine Haven Special Care Facility in Olmito, TX, surrounded by loving family. She was born in Brownsville, TX, on March 3, 1926. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Richardson, and her daughter, Bernadette Richardson. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sylvia R. (Sam) Martinez, Christine Richardson, Ellen R. (David) Liska, Harry, Robert, Edward(Carol), Hector(Beatrice), Samuel(Odie), John Richardson, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She gave selflessly to all of her children. Mother was the matriarch of our family. She enjoyed walks on the beach and laughing at the humor of her children. She was our confidant, our friend and our light. She was the pilar of faith who instilled God’s mercy and grace. Mom finished what God wanted her to accomplish, and now He has received her in his heavenly domain. She was blessed with an abundant amount of love from her family. In looking into her eyes and her delightful smile, she radiated kindness, forgiveness, and love for everyone. Her heart was transparent and true. Now, God’s angels have escorted her beautiful soul into His kingdom and will forever live in His glory. May she rest in peace and continue living in our hearts. Mom, we will miss you. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Sunshine Haven Special Care Facility, 7105 Lakeside Blvd. Olmito, TX 78575 or a charity of your choice.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. This is one of the most difficult things we must face in life. I have found great comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28,29 “those in emorial tomb will come out”. He promises that we will be able to see our loved ones again. What a wonderful hope! We anxiously await the day when we will no longer lose those we love. May these bible thoughts bring you comfort at this most difficult time.
